MANAGEMENT
Ian Subel
Chief Financial Officer
Ian Subel serves as chief financial officer of Life Solutions International, Inc. In this role, Mr. Subel oversees
the financial aspects of the company’s strategic planning and development; financial analysis and planning;
financial oversight and direction of new product development; relationship management with institutional financing
sources; treasury functions; budgeting; cash management and banking relations; risk management and executive
management; and oversight of accounting functions.
Prior to joining Life Solutions International, Mr. Subel was the managing director in the advisory practice of Fogel
Capital Partners. In this role, he provided M&A buy-side and sell-side advisory, debt and equity private placement,
and general corporate finance advisory services. Utilizing his broad international experience in consulting and
investment banking with an emphasis in the areas of insurance, consumer products and distribution, and in the
entertainment, manufacturing, technology and telecommunications industries, Mr. Subel’s knowledge and
experience supported the maximization of shareholder value to client businesses in financial advisory
transactions.
Before working for Fogel Capital Partners, Mr. Subel was brought to the United States by Deloitte & Touche
LLP (“D&T”) in order to assist the firm with the introduction and growth of their corporate
finance advisory practice. As a managing director of the group he was part of a team that grew to over 60
investment banking professionals with record revenues in just three years. From August 2001 until leaving D&T,
Mr. Subel headed the firm's Los Angeles corporate finance practice, the main focus of which was to provide
middle market companies buy and sell-side advisory services, private placements of debt and equity, and general
corporate finance advisory services, consistent with that of the global bulge-bracket competitors of the
firm.
Before coming to the United States, Mr. Subel was the national technology partner of Fisher Hoffman
Sithole (“FHS”), which
was South Africa’s largest independent accounting and consulting practice. At FHS, his focus was on
strategic consulting and development, initial public offering assistance, buy-side and sell-side assistance,
capital raising, and acquisition advisory engagements. He has managed and assisted on engagements involving
many premier international companies.
Mr. Subel has a bachelor of commerce and bachelor in accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand in
Johannesburg, South Africa and is a chartered accountant and a CPA.
